Dear Mr. DiForio,

Thank you for calling today reference to the outcome of our Breacher Training event held during the week of May 3rd, 2010. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to field test and teach the concepts of your DoorStorm ULTRA to our clients. Congratulations are in order for a job very well done in the design, development and overall usefulness of a new style breaching/forcible entry tool for fire service, law enforcement and military applications.

I have been involved in fire service, law enforcement and military operations and training for over 30 years and I think safe to say that I have seen and/or used every type of breaching / forcible entry tool ever developed. The DoorStorm system is not only innovative, but also rugged and simple to use with no additional parts to the system required but good old fashioned elbow grease (and not much of that is required!).

I would like to take a few moments to provide you an overview of the type of doors we were able to test your product on and the outcomes;

  1. Interior, hollow core doors: 3 second opening time or less with 100% entry.
  2. Interior, solid wood office doors w/ both wood and steel frames: 4 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  3. Interior, steel doors with steel frames: 6 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  4. Interior, steel fire rated doors with steel frames: 6 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  5. Exterior steel doors with foam fill and wood frames: 5 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  6. Exterior solid wood doors and wood frames: 5 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  7. Exterior steel mobile home doors with foam fill and wood frames: 2 seconds or less with 100% entry.
  8. Exterior heavy duty steel doors with foam fill and steel frames (school buildings): 9 seconds or less with 100% entry.

Both a pushing action and a jamb spreading action were used on all above doors with perfect success. A side benefit to the system is that 85% or more of the breached doors were re usable with little to no repairs after the entry was made. This of course makes the administration of any fire or law enforcement agency happy due to fewer complaints from the street. I will, at every opportunity provide my recommendation to purchase and use your products to all my students and departments we provide training for.

If I can be of further assistance in the future, please call or email anytime.
